Case Studies
Foxtrot undertakes literally hundreds of surveys each year. Every conceivable variation of building – old and new, large and small, commercial and residential.
Whether it's a modest one bedroom studio flat or a country estate, we will be asked to carry out surveys. These surveys might be in response to advice on a specific defect or perhaps a comprehensive assessment or measured survey to produce a set of plans. Consequently, we get to see some historical unique property and we have been privileged to be involved in some fabulous projects.
Dreamland, Margate, Kent
Foxtrot undertook a detailed and comprehensive condition survey of the historic Grade II* Listed amusement park. We took approximately 2500 photographs during the survey. A good representation of these photographs forms the bulk of the report. The use of a 46m Bronto vehicle to provide safe access to the roofs and highest parts of the building also enabled some remarkable photographs to be taken – possibly from a position never seen before. The site is currently going through a process of refurbishment with the intention to eventually re-open and be commercially viable once again.
